Subhash Chandra Kandeyang, affectionately known as KANDY among friends, is an Engineering Graduate from NIT Kurukshetra and has had a distinguished career with the Maharatna company Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
A passionate sportsman, nature enthusiast, adventure lover, and wildlife photographer, Kandy is an experienced trekker who has lived his passion for the great outdoors throughout his life.
His journey began with his first trek to Gangotri-Gomukh-Tapovan in 1988-89, sparking a deep love for the Himalayas that would fuel countless adventures in the Garhwal and Kumaon regions.
In quest for his adventure pursuits, he trekked with his institutional Himalayan Club and mentored hundreds of youngsters and colleagues, inspiring them to embrace adventure and transforming their lives through trekking and outdoor activities.
Kandy has conquered some of the most challenging treks in the Garhwal and Kumaon Himalayas, including:

Kandy has also embarked on thrilling high-altitude motorbike expeditions, including:
* A journey to the Land of Lamas, covering Manali-Leh-Khardungla-Nubra-Changla-Pangong-Tsomoriri (1989 & 1995)
* The Lahaul-Spiti circuit, traversing Chakrata, Tiuni, Rohru, Taklesh, Nathpa, Sarahan, Sangla, Recong Peo, Sumdo, Tabo, Kaza, Kibber, Losar, Kunzum Pass, Chandratal, Batal, Gramphoo, Rohtang Pass, and Manali (1999 & 2007)
* Driving his 4-wheeler SUV through Sach Pass, one of the most dangerous motorable roads at an elevation of 4,414 meters under extreme snowbound conditions.
With over 30 years of trekking and a lifetime of sportsmanship, Kandy is known for his meticulous planning, discipline, kindness, and punctuality. Now, with his extensive experience and a network of the best Himalayan guides, he is eager to share the purest experience of the Himalayas with fellow enthusiasts. By organizing treks, he aims to foster a love for the outdoors among all, while also creating employment opportunities for local communities.
